Day 19

A photo of me on a school trip. The only "school trip" I went on was to Italy in the 90's and all my photos were slides. Oh I do have some prints but they aren't scanned into the computer and I am too lazy to do that right now. Instead a photo of me on a trip while in school will have to suffice. This is me at Robin hood's Bay in England.

Thanksgiving #29

I am so thankful for digital cameras. When I went to Italy in 1996 I took 13 rolls of film with me and was teased about it. I ended up buying more film outside the Vatican on the last day of my trip because I needed some for inside the Vatican Museum. When we returned, everyone wanted my photos, because I took so many. It was SO expensive to have it all developed. I don't even have any in digital format today. It took me several years after returning home from England in 2000 to get all of my film developed and fortunately by then it was easy to ahve them put onto cd's. I am so thankful now all I have to do is plug in my camera and I am good to go. I had to get an external hard drive for my photos (and music but I have more photos than music on there). I take photos every chance I can. I keep my camera in my purse because I never know when I will need it. Rick really wants to buy an SLR for me to advance my photography but considering I have a simple point and click I am so pleased with the photos I am able to take.
I am SO thankful to have the incredible technology we have for photos.

I like to blog - Obviously - My Illness

It is 10:00 at night and I probably should be going to bed because I am a bit tired. I don't want to yet. Right now I am working on coping small camera size videos to regular size video. I am coping over my first video of my trip to England. It is pretty entertaining. The first day Adam talked a lot to me. By day 3, not so much. I did find out the name of the abbey where I took an incredible photo.
<---I think I said Wyland on my video but I haven't been able to find anything on google to confirm this. Once it is done recording I at least know where to go to try and find it again. I am going to stay up until the video is done converting.

Last night little Jimmy spent the night with us. I might have already mentioned this. He was so cute. He slept for 12 hours!

Also, today I went to the doctor for my snoring. I think I mentioned that. Well I forgot to mention that I have high blood pressure and edema. The doctor gave me a "water pill" to take on the days when I am swollen. He seemed fairly concerned. Rick is to take my blood pressure everyday for awhile. All of this is due to my weight gain. Rick told me many moons ago that he wouldn't ever harass me about my weight unless there were health risks. Well....I suppose that is going to change for the time being. I guess I really need to work on losing weight and not just talk about it all the time. * BIG SIGH *

So I returned the Twilight books to the library yesterday. I felt really sad when I did it. Like I was giving away people who had become my friends. Or more like I was saying good bye to a boyfriend. YES - I am a dork!!!
