My Siblings

I realized that most of you don't know how many siblings I have or what they look like. It can be a bit confusing.
Growing up if anyone asked, I said I had 2 sisters and one brother. Well the reality is that I have 1 brother, 1 sister, 2 half brothers and 1 half sister. The half brothers have a different mom and never lived in the same house as me while the half sister has the same mom and we have shared a bedroom, bed and I have had custody of her at one point in time. She is more of a sister to me in many ways than the one with the same blood.
I am the oldest of all of them.
Then we have James Martin Jr. who is 2 years younger than me. (Brown eyes, brown hair)
Next comes Madeleine Eliszabeth who is 5 years 11 months and 1 week younger (blue eyes, strawberry blond/reddish hair)
Then Marshall Martin who is 9.5 years younger - half brother #1 (blue eyes, dark blond hair/light brown)
Marissa Pamela is next who is 10.5 years young - half sister #1 (brown eyes, blond hair)
and last but not least is McKenzie Martin who is 13 years younger (blue eyes, dark blond/light brown hair)Maybe next week I will post photos of all the parental genes involved hahaha.
As I have gotten older I have the most contact with Jimmy and Marissa then Kenzie. Marshall goes to SUU but he is in his own little world, as is Maddy who lives in Oregon. Kenzie lives in Seattle but he is on facebook so it is all good.
So there you go...all my fun siblings! Do you think any of us look alike? And in these photos, all hair is it's natural color!

Growing

I really want to try and get a photo of what I am going to describe to you BUT usually when I pass them, I am driving 60 miles an hour alone in the car.
As I go to work each day, I go from I-15 to the 201 Westbound freeway. This is a ramp that goes up and over I-15. No where remotely close to dirt. Nevertheless, there are 4 drainage grates where there are plants/weeds growing out of them. It is the funniest thing to see the green popping out of them.
Maybe tomorrow I will remember to whip out the cell camera as I am passing them and get a photo cause I sure can't find one on google images.

Boobs

So we all know that I have my fair share and more of boobs. That doesn't mean that my sisters do. The middle one, no boobs. The youngest one, well she has boobs. So when the middle one lsat 70+ pounds anything she had there went bye bye. I think the last time I saw her I asked her if she wore an A or a AA. Yeah that pissed her off.
So yesterday (yes I know I use the word So a lot) she gave birth. A few months ago she was telling me that she had to buy a full B cup bra. I laughed. Today I really really really want to ask on her facebook...So how are those boobs treating you? Got some now? hahaha Yeah I crack myself up.

A Father's Day Gift (or two, or three)

Today is Father's Day. I was at Best Buy about a week or so ago buying a memory stick for my digital photo frame when I came across the first season of Burn Notice on DVD. Not only did they have it, it was on sale for about 25% of the original price. I have never bought a TV series on DVD before but seriously for that price, I couldn't pass it up. I thought, oh I can buy this because Father's Day is coming. Then I thought, well Rick will probably want something more for him...so I found The Italian Job on Blue-Ray also on sale for a very reasonable price.

I got home and messed around with the card for a few days and wasn't able to get it to work. So of course I had to go back to the store. Well by then Guitar Hero had come out. Of course I had to buy it!

So this afternoon I gave Rick his Father's Day gifts. When he opened the first, Burn Notice, he said, is this for me or for you? Then as he was opening up the second gift he said, you didn't need to get me anything. I let him know that I was happy to get him gifts. He finished opening Guitar Hero and said, oh is this for you? He was teasing me as he knows very well that yes I wanted both of those BUT he appreciates the gifts.

Rick is so incredible and wonderful. I look forward to the day when we will have a child of our own and he will be able to be a father again. I would say
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY RICK
but he doesn't read my blog.

Bacon

Today we ate bacon. Yeah I know that sounds lame but for the last few months we have only been eating turkey bacon. Heck it has been for at least 6 months since I last bought real bacon. When Rick first bit into it he said, Whoa, that's good. I took my first bite and thought...mmmm That is SO good. It reminded me of this great clip.

I am Building an Ark

This June has been incredibly rainy. I don't personally remember it raining so many days in a row as it has this year. I think it has to be close to every day for a week or 10 days now. It has created wonderful puddles for me to drive through. I am not the only one doing it either. Seriously, there was one guy waiting for me to get in my car the other day so he could hit one of the puddles. He had a great running start, well driving as the case may be, and it splashed all over.
One of the evenings we had an incredible thunder storm going on with all the rain. (There hasn't been thunder and lightening in every storm, but many of them.) I tried to catch the thunder on "tape" but since I used my small camera rather than my video camera it didn't pick up the sound as well as I would have liked. Nevertheless, my video will give those who haven't been here to experience the rain, a good feeling for what has been going on lately. For those of you in the northwest, deep south or England, I know you get storms with rain like this but it is just not common in our part of the desert.

Baby Katie Turns 1

Baby Katie turned 1 on June 3rd. We celebrated her birthday on Sunday June 7th. It was fun to be with extended family. We spent time eating our burgers on my picnic blanket while lots of the little ones entertained us by climbing trees. The highlight was watching Katie eat her cake. It was slow going at first but eventually she got the hang of it!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

As all in the Salt Lake Valley know, we have been extremely blessed this year to have not only one new Temple but TWO! Talk about an unheard of event. Rick and I were able to visit the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House on Saturday June 6th. It was a wonderful experience.
It is so much like other Temples, in being so incredibly beautiful and yet so different as it has been individualized to reflect the area. I look forward to experiencing the blessing of the Temple there.

A Little Behind

This work this has really cut into my "Me time". Seriously, I haven't been able to blog everyday, I haven't been able to play Mafia Wars everyday, and I have been neglecting my farm on facebook too. But hopefully tonight I can get out some of the blogs I have have wanted to blog about lately.

Just A Quickie

I thought I would hurry and write a quick post. The new job is going really well. I like the people I work with and I am glad I held out for this job. It seems to be the right fit for me.

Not much else is going on for us. Just adjusting to not being able to play Guitar Hero all morning with Rick and then spending 10 hours on facebook farming. ha ha

It was time for me to start a job though...I had watch That 70's Show through at least 3 full time (yes the entire series) I had watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch through almost twice and I had almost watched Full House's entire series through.

We have all sorts of frivolities going on this weekend so hopefully I will have fun photos to post then.
