Foundation, Concrete and Back Fill - Check

As you can see, this week they finished with our concrete work and backfill. It is so neat to see things taking shape. I decided I needed to stand on our porch and check out the view. It is amazing what 20ish inches can do for one's perspective when you are only 5'1" to begin with.
The funniest thing is that our construction manager said the "crawl space" would only be about 4 feet deep. HAHAHA what a joke! (There really isn't a kink in the cement, that is just how my panoramic turned out.)

Tragedy Strikes

As we know, my anniversary was back in December. Rick brought me balloons and a rose bush to work. The rose is doing well. The mylar balloon has been floating around our dining room, until today. Yes, it ran away from home today. I was out on the porch and it snuck out the door! I would have thought that the lip on the porch could have kept it but it had other ideas. I am so glad I saw it's string as the wind grabbed it and took it to Never Never Land or I would never have figured out what happened to it. I guess I should have popped it and tucked it away in the scrapbook box a few weeks ago. I almost feel like crying!

130,000

My car rolled over 130,000 miles last week and is still going strong! And the best part, the car is paid off. It better be with that many miles on it.

A Quick Recap

Foundation - Check

I think they are about done with the foundation. I had to put the smack down on the agent on Thursday this week. She said, they are doing blah blah blah today. I said, are you reading that off the schedule or did the construction manager tell you this? She said, the schedule. I said, I need you to call and find out exactly what they are doing because I believe they are behind and I want to know EXACTLY what they are doing. We shall see this week how she performs. In the end, things are moving forward!

The Hole

We received a call on Wednesday this week that we are on the excavator's list to dig our hole next week. We will head out next weekend for photos!
