A photo me - but from when? 30 years ago? 30 weeks ago? 30 day ago? 30 hours ago?
I opted for 9 years ago - when I last had my short hair. If I remember correctly, I started growing it out after this last cut. Oh yeah, I was a lot thinner then too. hehehe
I am thankful for YouTube If it weren't for YouTube you wouldn't have the awesome videos in my music post. I am able to share all sorts of videos with family because of YouTube that normally they wouldn't easily be able to see because they are too big to email.
I am also able to see videos of my niece living out of state.
I was thinking the other day that MTV isn't what is used to be and groups don't need to make music videos any more. Then I thought, no wait, they do - they make them for YouTube now. I was able to find the name of one of my all time favorite Christmas movies because of YouTube, and in turn I was able to find the DVD and add it to my collection - A Muppet Family Christmas
Today I am thankful for my sister Maddy! Yep - That's you Maddy! She is my best friend. I love being able to talk with her about everything. She entertains me constantly but especially when she isn't working. Summer and days off school are my fav. I wish she lived closer to me but I am so proud of her getting away too. I know we look SOOO much alike. And yes, she is that much taller than I am. This photo totally shows Maddy's attitude. "Uh, yeah, whatever"It makes me giggle. Yes I sure love my sister Maddy!
I can't believe I didn't blog about my sister Maddy aka Matilda Jones, back in JANUARY. See I totally suck at blogging now. I am WAY out of date. Not only that, she brought her squishy with her.
So...(yes it is one of the words I say ALL the time) Maddy's PT told her that she needs orthopedic shoes. This has me just laughing every single time I think about it. Man just thinking about them makes me laugh. Rick told me that it really isn't that funny but come'on Maddy is 26 years old and is a school teacher. Seriously, would you not laugh if your teacher who normally wears cool shoes... Well Maddy thinks they are cool. (These are the Go Skyline Edition) and then they showed up wearing... HAHAHA I did some searching and found some "stylish" orthopedic shoes but man you just can't beat the Velcro!
Tomorrow, July 22nd, is my younger brother Jimmy's 30th birthday. We went out to dinner with him and his family along with other friends and family last Saturday to start the celebrations. We went to Jimmy's favorite Chinese restaurant where all he has to say is, the usual. I had sesame chicken which was awesome.
Not much else has happened in the last week. Maddy is really sick in Mexico - and if you are reading this and don't know who Maddy is...she is my middle (younger) sister who is in Mexico for the summer with her husband to learn Spanish.
We had 9 children in our class on Sunday and they were all really good. Usually when we have visitors we have "problems" of kids wanting all the attention. I am so proud of them for all acting so well. On the drive home from church I told Rick, I really had a fun time today. I was just so proud of them! Which reminds me...I made cookies that morning before church and only cooked a dozen. That means I have cake batter cookie dough in the fridge I had forgotten about. YAY for an evening snack.
So I was just thinking...man there sure are a lot of people I know in this world but really there aren't that many that I am friends with. This especially applies to people I went to high school with. I get on facebook and see all these names and I recognize them but I think, was I really friends with this person? Usually the answer is no. I think I am depressing myself lately by doing this watching and such. Maybe the problem is me though. I guess I don't know how to have a normal friendship with a girl or anyone other than Rick or my siblings. Maybe my problem is that I like them all so much there aren't that many people I would rather hang out with. Yeah that must be it. I am sure I am the problem and just not social enough. I will admit though, Rick working the hours he does so he goes to be so early sure doesn't make it easy to do things on week nights and there are only so many weekends. While doing my surfing I found some really cool things on other people's blogs...like slideshows. I think I am going to figure out how to do that today. Maddy~ I miss you!

Life

Sometimes life gets in the way of what I really enjoy. Genealogy is one of
those things that often has to take a back burner to life. What things in
life h...
This is my blog for posting silly stories and all sorts of photos along with real bits and pieces of our life. Ok, my life is a party and I want to share it with everyone. Maybe by reading my blog I can put a smile on your face. I referred to it the other day as "our blog" and was corrected by my lovely husband that it is my blog and my blog only.
I have always been interested in family history and the stories of my ancestors. In 2007 I started working in electronic formats to create and recreate my family history. My first client was also this year and have since found hundreds of family members. I have thousands of hours of experience and continue to learn each day. I love being able to bring a name and date to life, to create a real person who lived on this Earth just as we are doing today. I am excited over every little find I have and look forward to helping others in their search for their own families.
