Spelling along with Too Much Food!

Today I had Bajio ordered for lunch for work. I ordered what I always order, a chicken salad. Well for some reason today the rice was perfect. It was the best rice I have ever had. I ate almost all of it as well. I need to barf now. I just ate way too much food but it was so good. Sweet lime rice, tomatoes and spicey ranch dressing MMM MMM MMM Guess I will be exercising tonight even though I did yesterday.
So I receieved am email from the enrichment board lady. I have been on this board for close to a year now. I really don't like it and don't really do anything. This lady has the ward directory and my email address but NEVER spells my name correctly. It so irritates me. It is also one of those where I am not going to correct her because every time she does it, it will irritate me more and then it will just fester and I will have this all built up inside and be able to sometime let it out on someone.
I am still too full!!

Facebook

So Maddy had me get on facebook so I could stalk some people. I had to create my own profile to be able to do so...and now I am addicted. I have spent every night on there doing who knows what. Tonight it was movie quizzes. Yesterday was Harry Potter stuff. I seriously need the weather to warm up so I am not just sitting at my computer.
I have lost 2 pounds this week! Only 18 more to go by Sept 1st. I have been exercising at least every other day and have really been trying to not snack. After I get this groove going then I will probably start working on more of a diet to make sure things keep going. By the time I hit a slump with my exercise bike the weather had better be good so I can go out and play tennis and stuff like that with Rick.
This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. We are going to go to a BBQ at Scott & Pat's house but not sure that we will do anything else. The pools are open but I think it will be too cold to lay out. They were open last weekend but I didn't know.
Oh one more thing about facebook... I was able to find 3 old friends of mine. I was SO excited! They too seemed excited to be in touch with me again which is really nice.
Tomorrow I am going to get a MMR booster shot. Or prick as Wayne would say. :)
I think it is time for bed now. ~Happy Memorial Day Weekend~

Sunday Sunday Sunday

The weekend is here in full swing. Yesterday we went for a walk in the morning, I did some grocery shopping and shopping for a baby shower this week and then we went to a movie for date night. We saw Ironman. For some reason I have a thing about crowds right now, I don't want to be in them. I do want to see Prince Caspian and even though the seats are reserved, I wasn't up to dealing with a crowded movie. There were a lot of people at Ironman but not as many.
It was an ok movie. I would give it a 3. I usually LOVE the marvel comic movies but not so much this one. There were parts that were really good and other parts were really slow. I do have to say, Stan Lee is always great in these movies!
Today we had stake conference. We watched the All Star race last night. Unfortunately Casey Queer won. Very disappointing. I would have been happier if Cousin Carl had won. As I was watching the race I thought to myself, man there are a lot of drives I don't like. I don't like him, I don't like him, I really don't like him etc. The good news, Kyle Busch blew his engine and didn't even finish. Now that I can cheer about.
Oh yeah, I also washed our deck yesterday. Not that it is much cleaner but something is better than nothing. The weather is so perfect right now I can't not be outside. I hope it is this good next weekend.
I am thinking of what pretty pictures I have to post today since there aren't any related to my blog...hhmm... I shall go browse. Ok I can't find anything worth posting. By the way, Rissa agrees that Rick would be good in a Volvo. She recommends it due to it's safety performance. When I told this to him, he just shook his head and walked out of the room. He just doesn't understand.

Little Jimmy Sleeps Over & Mother's Day

I can't believe it has almost been a week since I last wrote on my blog. Not that much has happened in the last week. Mother's Day was last Sunday. Jimmy & Carrie decided to take out our mom to dinner on Saturday night. Rick was really sick but I went with them and so did Dugan and Charlotte and so did Megan and her new boyfriend, David. My mom seemed pretty ticked about all the others tagging along. Jim & Carrie did invite her to dinner on Sunday as well with Carrie's family but she chose not to go. She chose to instead call me and try to lay the guilt trip on me that she was alone. Whatever. Rick and I went to brunch at Sharron's that morning. We had Jack, Marion (Rick's parents), Sharron, Scott, Pat and all their family there. It was very nice and VERY tasty food.

Last Thursday night little Jimmy slept over with us. He was so cute. He found all of the possible toys in our house and then wanted to wear the Jeff Gordon hat that sits in our bathroom. He thought it was cool going to the toilet in the Jeff Gordon bathroom.
At some point in time I showed Jimmy Teletubbies on my computer. So whenever he comes over he wants to watch "Tubbies". I pulled up a few shows on demand for him to watch. Then he wanted to eat tubby toast and tubby custard. I did have the "tubby custard" for him.

I took him over to the park and he wanted to climb the climbing wall. Yes that is me having to take the picture higher than my head. He got about this high and then said, Help me please. I helped him get to the top but the problem is there is nothing there. I couldn't reach high enough to help him get over the wall and come down the other side. That kid is fearless.
So anyway, we had a great time with him. Not much else has been going on this week. Rick and I are both ready for the weekend and being able to just chill in the warmth. We did rent a storage unit this week. I guess that is new and exciting. We had 14 bags of wheat delivered last Friday and needed somewhere to put it. So I cleaned out our storage and we moved all of our Christmas stuff, bags and suitcases to a storage unit. I am trying to figure out what else I can move there so that we have more room and don't feel so cramped.
I was able to sell a golf bag Rick won this week and I am thinking about selling out extra vacuum. It doesn't suck up my hair so it is pretty much useless to us. If anyone needs a vacuum, let me know, we would be happy to give it to a family member.
So there you go....

I like to blog - Obviously - My Illness

It is 10:00 at night and I probably should be going to bed because I am a bit tired. I don't want to yet. Right now I am working on coping small camera size videos to regular size video. I am coping over my first video of my trip to England. It is pretty entertaining. The first day Adam talked a lot to me. By day 3, not so much. I did find out the name of the abbey where I took an incredible photo.
<---I think I said Wyland on my video but I haven't been able to find anything on google to confirm this. Once it is done recording I at least know where to go to try and find it again. I am going to stay up until the video is done converting.

Last night little Jimmy spent the night with us. I might have already mentioned this. He was so cute. He slept for 12 hours!

Also, today I went to the doctor for my snoring. I think I mentioned that. Well I forgot to mention that I have high blood pressure and edema. The doctor gave me a "water pill" to take on the days when I am swollen. He seemed fairly concerned. Rick is to take my blood pressure everyday for awhile. All of this is due to my weight gain. Rick told me many moons ago that he wouldn't ever harass me about my weight unless there were health risks. Well....I suppose that is going to change for the time being. I guess I really need to work on losing weight and not just talk about it all the time. * BIG SIGH *

So I returned the Twilight books to the library yesterday. I felt really sad when I did it. Like I was giving away people who had become my friends. Or more like I was saying good bye to a boyfriend. YES - I am a dork!!!

I am such a dork

Today I went to the doctor for my snoring. I don't have sleep apnea or anything like that. My doctor told me to see an E,N,T because I have already tried all of the other steps, like breathe right strips, sprays, etc. So I will be scheduling that pretty soon, hopefully.
So why I am a dork...I have decided that we need to purchase a silver volvo. I found a beatufil 2005 S40 for only $16,000 and only 44,000 miles on it. I told Rick it needs to be his car because I still need 4-wheel drive but he can have the sexy car. I told him that I wanted one. He wanted to know why. I had to give in and tell him it is because that is what Edward drives.
Seriously, is this not a good looking car?
I just showed our new car to Rick. At first he said, no way, I don't care how horny it makes you, I am not getting a Volvo. Then I showed him the photo. He said, hhhmmm that is a decent looking car. Too bad our Corolla will be paid off next month, otherwise I might be able to talk Rick into buying this. Once we have a house I will work on it again so I have not lost hope.

I have "pile o'Michele" growing on top of the printer which I need to take care of so I am off to sort through things.

Yes I am a dork, thank you Maddy for helping it out.

My New Background

I am checking out new backgrounds and fonts and all that stuff. Trying to find just the right match. It doesn't always work since I don't know how to read or write html.Don't be surprised if it changes again tomorrow.
I am going to be leaving work early tomorrow and taking all day Friday off. Little Jimmy is going to be sleeping over with us....maybe I should clean up the Jeff Gordon bedroom....
Let's see...we need a photo in here...Yeah Maddy trying to be the Hulk. She was showing off her mus-kles.

I should have some fun new photos this weekend. We are going to Rick's sister's house for brunch on Sunday for Mother's day. I know his parents will be there along with his younger brother Scott and his wife. Not sure if any of their girls will be there or not. Tomorrow when I leave work I am going to stop by Thanksgiving Point Emporium to pick up some Mother's Day gifts.

I am watching Meet the Parents right now. It is such a funny show. I hadn't watched it in awhile and thought it would be a good one to have on as background noise while I play on here. Alright, time to clean up.
I need to think of some good lists of things like Maddy does to post on here...

Twilight Series

So I have been sucked in...literally with no pun intended. I am totally into the Twilight Series books. I finished book #3 last night. It took me 1 week to read ALL them. (24 hours for book 2) So here I am at work looking up information on who the actors will be for the movie. They have cast the most perfect people! They are beautiful!! I can feel the adrenaline flowing through my system and getting butterflies in my stomach. This is just crazy that I feel this way about these books!! Yes I am totally psycho. Rather than take the time to post photos of all the people I will just post a great link.

MADDY~ WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!?!

The movie comes out Dec 12 this year!!!

Jimmy's Gradjamitation & Stuff, like the grocery store

I am so very proud of my little brother (all my siblings are little! Just because I am the shortest doesn't change that I am the oldest!) So anyway...after 11-12 long hard years of work Jimmy graduated Saturday from Utah State University.
While waiting for everyone in our group to arrive and graduation to start, Rick taught little Jimmy how to say "Get back Shel" while making a cross with his fingers. Obviously Rick got a big kick out of it.

Maddy was all ready for the show to start as well.

So tonight I went to the new Harmon's by our house. Smith's is screwed! I will be back probably tomorrow. It was so big and clean. Man I sure enjoyed it.
I am watching Saved by the Bell right now. Man I enjoy this show too. (I am a simple person.)

So Maddy got me hooked on the teenage vampire books... The Twilight Series. I read book 2 in less than 24 hours. I started reading 3 tonight but I am limiting myself to how much time I can read tonight. I am going to have to take a lunch break tomorrow and read.

Alright...time to go read. (Oh yeah, Rick and I hit the Smithfield cemetery while we were in Cache County. Got all sorts of photos of headstones.)

May

Yesterday was May 1st and it snowed. I am so tired of the cold and the snow. Tomorrow Jimmy is graduating from USU. I remember my graduation from USU...I wish I had worn shorts but I will tell you, it won't be quite warm enough tomorrow. Oh well...someday soon. (It better be by the end of the month so I can go to the pool Memorial Day weekend!)

Maddy and Drew got into town last night. They are coming to go to lunch with me today. I am excited to see them. I realized the other night that I am more attached to my siblings than they are to me. I really miss my sisters when I don't get to talk with them. They are both my best friends.

I had thought of all sorts of things to type on this last night but now that I am here I don't remember them.

Last night we watched The Prestige. It was a dang good show. Usually Rick picks up on more things than I in movies but not this time. I think I enjoyed it way more than he did. Also 2 nights ago I started reading Twilight. I wasn't going to start until I finished my Catherine the Great book but here I am half way through it. I have been sucked in! I keep thinking of ways and times I can read. I didn't bring it with me to work today so I wouldn't be tempted to just sit back and read.

Tonight we are taking Stephen out to Black Angus for his birthday. (Yesterday he turned 20) Tomorrow we are headed to Logan and might hit the Smithfield cemetery for some headstones. I have a "cousin" who has sent me a lot of information and she said all of the headstones from Smithfield are on the cd's so we might not take the time. I do think I want to go to the Pepperidge Farm outlet for some food storage items. I figured out this week that since no one uses the Jeff Gordon bathtub, we can put food storage in there and probably a lot of it. I have 14 bags of wheat coming which I need to find a home for. No- what I really need is a home, not just an appartment.

Let's see...what picture shall I post today...

Oh here is another thought...

In my family's genealogy we have some ancestors that were in the Willie Handcart Company. http://www.handcart.com/williecompanybody.htm I knew that they made it to Utah as my great great grandfather was born in Utah but I could not find their burial locations. Just this week I was able to learn that they died in Iowa. That's right...they went back. I do have the exact location of my great great great grandfather's burial and death date but not of his wife. I guess some names would be helpful here... William Dykes Ledingham and Catherine McKay - their son was Jon S. Ledingham who's daughter was Thelma Ledingham also known as Grandma Weeks, Keith's mom. (for those who are keeping track here). So now I am going to order his death certificate but I am still searching for more information on Catherine. I shall keep you updated.
So there is the explanation to this photo.
Time to get back to work....

Sunday Afternoon

Tonight we went to Jim and Carrie's house for a going away dinner for Marissa. (She is moving to California for the summer.) After dinner Jimmy entertained us. He sang some Tarzan song. Apparently the mic was coming out of his ear though. Before he was playing doctor and I was trying to explain to him that after doctors treat patients that they go golfing.
Tomorrow is a work day. I am not sure what I will be working on yet but I know I will be working. I need a week off. Just to stay home and do nothing. I am taking a day off in 2 weeks though to spend with Jimmy. That should help.
Not much else to really write about. Yesterday I did get 3 pairs of new shoes. I am not allowed to buy clothes until I lose some weight so shoes it was! I will take pictures tomorrow and post them. Otherwise this weekend was totally uneventful which is good since next weekend shall be totally full.
Monday night we have a work dinner for Rick. Thursday is Stephen's birthday so we are trying to get to dinner with him. Friday we might be going to dinner with Jim, Laurie, Marshall and who knows who else. Maddy and Drew get into town Thursday night. Saturday we will spend the day in Logan at Jimmy's graduation including making a stop at the Smithfield cemetery.
Such is the life of a rock star.

Extended Family

This is a picture of my dad's cousin and his kids, my second cousins. I about died when I saw this photo as Nick could be the identical twin of Adam who I went to visit in Leeds England back in 2000! They have the same hair cut and even the same clothes. I don't remember Adam wearing glasses though. I am going to have to try and find a photo of him to post on here so everyone can compare.
My great-aunt has been sending me photos of family. I am having so much fun seeing the family resemblance between people and what genetic traits carry from where. I shall blog more later.
